Godzilla: King of the Monsters

“Godzilla: King of the Monsters” is directed by Micheal Dougherty and it stars Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, and Ken Watanabe. This movie is the continuation of Godzilla 2014 and the third movie of the Monsterverse alongside Kong: Skull Island. In this movie, we see how the world realizes that there are more monsters like Godzilla and people are divided on to protect these monster or kill them before they destroy the world. One of the main criticized that most people had with the 2014 movie was the main character did not come at the beginning of the movie and had a very small runtime in the movie. I, however, thought the movie was great and the anticipation of Godzilla was well worth it. Even though the story of that movie consists of the more human element and what to do in that crisis I thought the movie was great and I really enjoyed it.

In this movie, they basically removed the human element and basically gave a monster brawl movie. The movie was basically a monster brawl movie. Do not wait for the story or the pacing of the movie. This movie is basically “the turn of your brain movie.”

Me, however, I was very disappointed. Like I mentioned before I like the 2014 movie. The pacing was done right, there was a great human element on what to do in that crisis and plus the build-up for Godzilla. In this movie we got pacing going all over the place, the dialogue in the movie was not good and at times forced humor and they were moments during the second act that felt the movie was longer then it should be.

The one thing in the movie I was not disappointed was the monster battle. I was happy they got King Ghidorah, Rodan and Monta in the movie. They were very made and the battles were good.

Even though this movie was supposed to be a monster brawl movie. I am highly disappointed and I do not know what to expect from next year Godzilla vs. King Kong.
